Good Lord There Are Pirates EVERYWHERE

I had to call SecureServer's service desk last night because of an technical problem (I have a hosting contract with them). Got on with a helpful fellow, and we started working through the issue. My hosting contract is game related, and during a pause in his processing he inquired about it. Next thing I know I swapping stories and friendly trash talk with a retired Goon! By the time I logged off the call he was reactivating his Omega clone and he might apply to SC!
Anywho... just such a small world, and thought I'd share.

grrrrrr. I wish it were easier to realize you're logged out... That was me.

[Redacted] Why don't I have enough privileges to delete my own post? I can edit itβ¦
-
@Po-Huit Because we believe you should own your words--even if you later edit them. Not allowing post deletions (except by moderators) encourages people to think twice about posting angry, salty, or frustrated words which could be quoted and therefore documented for perpetuity before they calm down and edit them appropriately. If you want something deleted or moved for a good reason, ask the @administrators and we will help you out.
-
@Po-Huit I hope I didn't say something to elicit the harsh response Mynxee warned of!
-
@Phillip-Xodu No! I just wrote a confused response and then felt stupid about it. That's an awesome story, and I hope your contact joins us soon.
-
@Po-Huit @Phillip-Xodu Ha, no it was a great post! I know quite a few Goons and like them all; everyone is welcome in Signal (well, except known corp thieves and those I've banned from rejoining for :reasons:) if they agree to abide by our Credo. My comment above was just to explain the reason we don't enable folks to delete their own posts.

@Mynxee found out you can also poke @moderators or flag the post. If it's clear and easy as to why, why bother you over it?
-
@Phillip-Xodu This is such great story: Welcome to Signal corp

@Triffton-Ambraelle Cheers, Triff

@Mynxee Could I get access to this Black Book?
